Neura Robotics and Seco Partner to Scale Physical AI

Neura Robotics and Seco S.p.A. have announced a strategic partnership to industrialize and scale physical AI in Europe. The collaboration combines Neura's cognitive robotics architecture with Seco's embedded computing and manufacturing expertise, while leveraging Qualcomm Technologies' advanced edge-computing platforms. Initial activities will focus on electronic compute modules for Neura's cognitive robots, including the humanoid 4NE1, to support scalable series production in Europe.
At the core of Neura's approach is a decentralized "Brain + Nervous System" architecture in which sensing and computing resources are distributed throughout the robot. Its Smart Limb concept places intelligence closer to joints, sensors, and points of physical interaction, reducing the distance between perception, computation, and real-time control. Qualcomm Dragonwing processors provide the on-device computing capabilities required for AI processing, power efficiency, and low-latency operation, while Seco contributes the engineering and industrialization capabilities needed to turn these platforms into production-ready modules.
The partnership is also intended to strengthen the European supply chain for physical AI. Seco will support the design, engineering and manufacturing of the compute hardware used in Neura's robots, helping the company transition its technology toward the volumes required for broader deployment. Seco already works with Qualcomm Technologies on industrial computing platforms based on Dragonwing processors, providing an established foundation for the collaboration.
Beyond robot hardware, the two companies plan to develop physical AI applications for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. As Neura robots are deployed in industrial environments, the partners intend to collect real-world production data to train intelligent machines to perform increasingly complex manufacturing tasks. The resulting capabilities could then be transformed into reusable automation functions for semiconductor production environments worldwide.
The collaboration will also include establishing a Neura Gym in Italy, described as the company's first training hub in Southern Europe. The facility is expected to contribute to the development and validation of physical AI capabilities using industrial data and real-world applications.
By combining European robotics, embedded computing, and manufacturing expertise with Qualcomm's processing technology, Neura and Seco aim to create a scalable physical AI ecosystem. The partnership reflects a broader strategy to develop critical hardware, software, and industrial know-how in Europe while maintaining access to advanced global semiconductor technologies.
