Swissbit, Nexperia Partner on Secure Hardware Platforms

Swissbit AG and Nexperia have announced a collaboration to develop hardware platforms optimized for AI, cloud computing, and enterprise server applications. The partnership combines Swissbit's expertise in secure storage and embedded memory with Nexperia's portfolio of semiconductor components to support system developers in building high-performance computing platforms that require long operational lifetimes, data integrity, and reliability.
The collaboration addresses the increasing demands placed on AI accelerators, hyperscale data centers, and edge computing systems, where growing processing requirements must be balanced with power efficiency, hardware security, and long-term availability. By integrating complementary technologies at the hardware level, the two companies aim to simplify platform development while improving overall system robustness.
Swissbit contributes secure storage and embedded memory technologies designed for applications requiring protected data storage, lifecycle management, and consistent product availability over extended deployment periods. These characteristics are particularly important in enterprise and industrial systems, where hardware platforms often remain in service for many years, and component continuity is essential for maintenance and qualification.
Nexperia complements these capabilities with a broad range of analog and discrete semiconductor devices that provide the supporting functions required in modern computing platforms. The company's components are already integrated into several Swissbit products for industrial automation, embedded systems, and data-centric infrastructure.
Within AI and server architectures, Nexperia's devices address multiple aspects of system design. Ultra-low-capacitance electrostatic discharge (ESD) and surge protection components safeguard high-speed interfaces such as DDR memory and PCI Express (PCIe). Power MOSFETs and small-signal transistors contribute to efficient, stable power distribution, while level shifters and bus switches enable reliable communication among processors, controllers, and peripheral interfaces. Together, these components support the electrical integrity, reliability, and efficiency required by high-performance computing platforms.
By combining secure storage technologies with semiconductor building blocks for signal protection, power management, and interface connectivity, the companies aim to provide a more integrated hardware foundation for AI infrastructure and enterprise computing systems. The collaboration is intended to help equipment manufacturers reduce design complexity while supporting the long-term reliability, security, and predictable product lifecycles increasingly required in data center, industrial, and edge computing applications.
