Seco Unveils Clea 2.0 Agentic Framework for Edge AI Applications

Embedded

Seco S.p.A. has launched the Clea 2.0 Agentic Framework, a software platform that simplifies deploying and managing AI models and applications across edge computing devices. The new release introduces one-click deployment and agentic fleet orchestration through a hardware-agnostic environment that supports both Seco and third-party hardware.

The Clea platform targets developers, business users, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators, and distributors. By unifying application deployment and lifecycle management across heterogeneous devices, Clea 2.0 aims to reduce integration work and help organizations move from edge AI pilots to industrial-scale operations.

Deploying AI applications across different edge platforms can require device-specific configurations, complex integration, and multiple management tools. Clea 2.0 provides a unified workflow that lets you deploy applications and AI models across supported hardware architectures with a single click once the environment is configured.

Its hardware-agnostic approach simplifies scaling across mixed device fleets, reducing the need to maintain separate deployment processes for each platform. The framework supports industrial use cases including visual quality inspection, predictive maintenance, operator assistance, robotics, and physical AI systems.

Clea 2.0 introduces natural-language interaction through a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This enables users to express complex, multi-step requests that AI agents can translate into coordinated operations across device fleets.

Agent actions operate within each user's identity and permissions, while activity records support traceability. Additional governance features include sandbox campaigns, granular role-based and attribute-based access controls, and multi-tenant isolation. These capabilities help organizations manage distributed deployments while maintaining operational oversight and access restrictions.

The platform also supports customized dashboards for business users. OEMs and channel partners can use it to develop, brand, and resell software-enabled services, extending the framework's role beyond application deployment to delivering managed edge AI solutions.

Seco is offering free early access to the Clea 2.0 Agentic Framework until April 30, 2027. Interested organizations can register through the company's Clea launch page to evaluate its application deployment and fleet orchestration capabilities.
